POOR AIR QUALITY NOTICE
After evaluating reports regarding the air quality impacted by the multiple Southern California fires,
The Salvation Army Long Beach Red Shield has made the following decisions:
- Modified program activities will go into effect immediately to reduce outdoor activities and programs.
- All rentals and partner programs will still be permitted to use the Long Beach Red Shield outdoor facilities at their own risk and determination. There will be no cancelation fee charges at this time with respect to the current poor air quality situation. Cancelations must be reported prior to the activity to the Events and Rental Coordinator’s office (Janice.coquia@usw.salvationarmy.org) or Red Shield Program Director’s Office (donna.marshall@usw.salvationarmy.org)
- Air quality will be evaluated daily and updates to programs and facility use will be provided on an as needed basis. Please check the website (longbeach.salvationarmy.org) regularly for updates.

Our Leadership
Salvation Army Programs are led by Salvation Army Officers. These officers are responsible to lead by assessing needs, delivering programs and directing ministries for our local community. From serving food to balancing the books, they function as the Executive Directors and the Pastors for the Long Beach Citadel Corps.
